The Cause
We are working closely with the community “Me and You Child Aid Project” , a registered community based organization operating in the district of Buikwe, Uganda. They work with orphans, vulnerable and underprivileged children in the community. They also perform community outreach program to the elderly, youth and hospitals.
We are helping a young boy called Emma who’s 4 years old and lives with his Mum, Nakitto Immy. Emma’s mum is a single parent who works on the plantations and can’t afford to support her son through school on her own. This is where Baby Birds is helping support Emma, by paying for his school fees, sending clothes, helping fund school meals, ensuring he gets an education and supporting him to have as bright a future as possible.
As well as our previous efforts of raising money for some goats for the family, providing Birthday presents for Emma, we are now aiming on providing him with a new bed so he can have a safe place to sleep.
