Fathers Day

“Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a Dad.”

It’s Fathers day this Sunday, a perfect time to honour any Dad who is there for their kids. It can’t be easy having such a huge repsonsility, so this is a blog post to salute all the Dads who have stepped up and been there. Of course, Dads can come in many different ways. Sometimes it can be a Step Dad, maybe you have two Dads, or maybe Mum has stepped up to the role. Whoever you are celebrating this weekend we hope you have the best time, and spoil them rotten.

Every hug, kiss, late night feed, tantrum and argument, you are helping shape another person’s life. How amazing is that? It’s easy for Dads to be overlooked sometimes, which is why we feel it’s so special to celebrate the father figure in your life if possible.

We wanted to share some of our dads and some of our favourite memories we have with ours too. Below you can read about Steph, Molly, and Max, who share some of their favourite memories of their dads and how they helped shape them to be who they are today.

How are you spending Fathers day? Who are you spoiling rotten? Whoever you are, and however you are spending it, we hope you have a great time, and happy fathers day.

Me and my Dad are like two peas in a pod. We were inseparable when I was little. I have many memories, it’s really hard to pick just one. We share a passion for history, and we love nothing more than to sit and watch a film together. Sometimes it’s not about going out and spending money, we love staying in, grabbing a take away and chilling out! Our most favourite place in the world to go to is Portland Bill! (it’s amazing you should go if you haven’t been!) When we are both free of a weekend in the summer, you will more than likely to find us sat by the Bill eating fish and chips looking at the view of the boats going past! We share the same sense of humour, and we laugh constantly when we are together! I don’t see as much of him as I used to, only because life has become so much busier since life has been eased out of lockdown! I know it’s so cliche but I don’t know what I would do without my Dad, I am so lucky to have a Dad like I do. Happy Father’s Day Dad you’re the best! X

Charlie My Dad has always been life and soul of the party. He does a great rendition of Rapper’s Delight and makes everyone laugh wherever he is. Being part of a family business, I work with my Dad every day. Every day he turns up, that is! He’s often found swerving the morning rush in favour of the breakfast van. I’m grateful to have him on the end of the phone for every DIY query. I’m grateful for his sense of humour in every bad situation. Most of all, I’m grateful for the love and support he shows me and my daughter every day. He really is the best!

My Dad and I have a great relationship, although we haven't seen each other much lately, when we do it's always a treat. He's always available and finds the time for me when needed. He never fails to make me laugh, and is really the life and soul at our family get togethers. His workaholic attitude has always been something I admire about him, and still do this day I look up to him as an incredible role model. Some of my favourite memories are participating in the London to Brighton Classic Car run. We would drive down with the roof off in his classic NG, which made reading directions quite tricky! It's always a treat when I get to see him, and if he's reading this, I hope he has an amazing fathers day, and thank you for everything.
